We asked fashion illustrator Francesco Lo Iacono to sketch some of our favourite looks from London Fashion Week SS17.
There's something about illustration that somehow manages to capture the beauty and fluidity of fashion designs more than even seeing the clothes in person can. So, for London Fashion Week we asked fashion illustrator Francesco Lo Iacono to sketch some of our SS17 highlights. From Burberry and Christopher Kane to Mary Katranzou and Roksanda Ilincic, Francesco has given a fresh spin to some of the most interesting LFW looks.
'I love to sketch the most complicated, extravagant and colourful looks,' Francesco told us. 'It's challenging.'
The Italian-born illustrator, who has had a love of drawing since he was a child, had his work cut out with the SS17 shows, but who were his favourites?
'J.W.Anderson is one of my personal favourites, and I always look forward to his new collection,' he said. 'Christopher Kane is always on point, I really appreciate his work. But, I think my favourite shows from the SS17 season are: Simone Rocha, Mary Katrantzou, Gareth Pugh, Preen, Margaret Howell, Phoebe English and Erdem.
'I adore London Fashion Week and its designers, I really can feel a different vibe, something that's always new, lively and energetic.'
We couldn't agree more, so we asked him to draw the key looks from Eudon Choi, Bora Asku, Roksanda, Christopher Kane, Burberry, JW.Anderson, Preen and Simone Rocha.
