The Golden Globes kicked off awards season in California last night - and what a glittering start it was.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler played host to the film and television industry's biggest names at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California.
It was a night of incredible and inspirational speeches, especially Maggie Gyllenhaal's, except for for Wes Anderson's hilarious acceptance of the Best Motion Picture (Comedy Or Musical) for The Grand Budapest Hotel which lightened the tone.
Boyhood cleaned up, winning Best Director, Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for Patricia Arquette. Eddie Redmayne took the Best Actor In A Drama award for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, while Julianne Moore got Best Actress In A Drama for Still Alice which documents the devastating effects of Alzheimer's on a professor's life.
Sienna Miller continued her run of red carpet highs, while Diane Kruger in Emilia Wickstead, Emma Stone in Lanvin and Keira Knightley in Chanel looked just as polished. Newer stars have an eclectic offering, with some like Lourde in her Narcisco Rodriguez suit and Amal Clooney in a pair of white 'homemade' gloves.
