The best dresses at Cannes Film Festival are some of the best EVER.
Since the annual event began in 1946, it's seen some of the world's biggest stars grace its red carpets, from Sofia Loren and Brigitte Bardot, to Kate Moss and Angelina Jolie - and the best thing about it is they never get boring. Whether the A-listers go laidback and Bohemian in a slip dress, all glammed up in a gown or just darned fabulous, like Tilda Swinton's fruity Christian Dior get-up, we can't get enough.
The 69th Cannes Film Festival is already shaping up to be one of the most fabulous events in the event's history, with many A-list actors and actresses being featured in the festival programme.
This year will see the likes of Kristen Stewart and (hopefully) Blake Lively walking the famous French carpet to celebrate Woody Allen's Cafe Society that is set to open the festival. We also anticipate seeing other members of lauded Cannes royalty at the event, with stars such as Marion Cotillard and Diane Kruger hotly tipped to make an appearance. And don't forget, taking a look back at some of THE most stunning dresses in Cannes history will be a great indicator of the floor-sweepers to come right?
Between all the glitz and glamour are the films themselves, with new movies by silver-screen heavyweights Steven Spielberg and Korean director Park Chan-wook getting their first crucial screening. How excited are we for The BFG?! (Spoiler: VERY.)
And of course, it all comes down to who will win this year's prestigious Palme d'Or...
