Stealing the nation's hearts (especially the female population) X Factor 2010 winner Matt Cardle released his new single When We Collide yesterday, with hopes of a Christmas No.1.
The music video for Matt's single is made up of clips of his epic journey through the X Factor process - starting of course with the auditions earlier this year.
A cover of Many Of Horror (When We Collide) by Scottish band Biffy Clyro, Matt shows his musical talent by playing the guitar throughout the track.
And with over 100,000 copies of his single selling just yesterday alone, Matt's well on track to achieve that coveted Christmas spot.
Hot on his heels is another anti-X Factor campaign Cage Against The Machine - which has high profile musicians The Kooks, Pete Doherty, and Orbital behind it - re-releasing re-releasing John Cage's silent record 4'33" - four minutes and thirty three seconds of silence.
This new project comes as a reaction against the recent X Factor monopoly on that highly sought-after number one spot. Last year saw an online campaign for Rage Against The Machine beat 2009 X Factor winner Joe McElderry to pole position.
With Matt Cardle one of the most popular X Factor winners in history, we can only wait and see whether X Factor will work its magic on the hearts and minds of the British public this Christmas!
