This weekend’s X Factor semi-finals look set to be the most exciting yet, with Cher Lloyd’s amazing comeback and the Glee cast’s highly-anticipated performance, but things aren’t looking good for hopefuls Matt Cardle and One Direction.
Matt Cardle’s performance on the show looks doubtful as the X Factor favourite was forced to pull out of an official gig last night due to the loss of his voice. The 27-year-old attended the event but was practically unable to speak, saying only: “Everything has been feeling poorly recently. I was recording earlier and it was getting very painful, so I can't sing tonight. I just have to hope it gets better for the weekend. There is not much else I can do.”
Meanwhile, One Direction band member Zain Malik did not even attend the secret event at London’s Hopspital Club for personal reasons, although insiders denied it was due to a death or serious injury in the family.
We’re hoping both boys will be back on stage to wow judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh on Saturday night!
