While Saturday night’s live show was full of fun, fighting spirit and fabulous frocks, Sunday night saw X Factor judges Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, Tulisa and Louis go head-to-head in the first public vote with Tulisa’s boy band Nu Vibe losing out.
Taking on the theme of Love and Heartache, all twelve X Factor finalists sang their hearts out during the Saturday night live show in the hope of being saved from the bottom two as voted by the public.
But returning on Sunday night, with Kelly Rowland wearing a plunging Julien Macdonald dress and Tulisa wowing in an embellished fit-and-flare frock, all four judges revealed their nerves for their categories.
Calmed momentarily by an acoustic performance from pop sensation Katy Perry, the public vote was counted and Gary’s Frankie Cocozza and Tulisa’s group, Nu Vibe, were forced to sing for the judges once more.
With only their mentor, Tulisa, saving them, Nu Vibe were sent home, bidding a teary farewell.
