The quarter finals of X Factor 2011 was thrilling from start to finish, with Janet Devlin crashing out after forgetting her words, while things got hairy for Misha B who, after two highly praised performances, found herself in the bottom two.
While Guilty Pleasures may have been the theme of the first round of songs, clearly MMMBop wasn't a pleasure guilty or not for Janet as she struggled to remember the words and stopped singing part way through. Soldiering on with her second song - Under The Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers - it wasn't enough to convince viewers or the judges and she got the boot.
Meanwhile, after facing heavy criticism last week, Amelia Lily pulled out all the stops with a stunning rendition of T'Pau's China In Your Hands and got the thumbs up from Gary Barlow and the public.
Little Mix continued their unprecedented reign of success, sailing through to the semi finals, while Marcus wowed with his Stevie Wonder classic.
To lighten the tense mood, Olly Murs teamed up with The Muppets to sing his latest single, while Jessie J showed the contestants how it's done with a wow-worthy performance of her single Who You Are.
With the semi finals next weekend, no doubt the remaining four acts will be campaigning hard to win over our votes. Stay tuned for all the latest news here!
