Naomi Watts is transformed into Princess Diana for new movie Caught In Flight - a film about the last two years of her life before her death 1997.
Filming the movie in Croatia, Naomi was photographed re-tracing the Princess' steps, emerging from a car in a glittering gown, with the classic Diana 'do.
The film will focus on her relationships with heart surgeon Dr Hasnat Khan and Dodi Fayed and follows her life until her death in Paris aged 36.
Speaking about her role, Naomi said: "It is such an honour to be able to play this iconic role - Princess Diana was loved across the world, and I look forward to rising to the challenge of playing her on screen."
She added: "She is a part of our history, an incredible woman and fascinating but a tragic ending. The film-makers came to me and it’s a good script and it’s very scary and I kind of wanted to say "no" but I couldn’t."
Caught In Flight follows a recent trend of high-profile biopics including J.Edgar, The Iron Lady and My Week With Marilyn and no doubt will prove every bit as successful.
