2015 could be off to a flying start for one of five actors who have been nominated for this year's EE Rising Star Award at the Baftas.
Angelina Jolie's protégé and former Skins star Jack O'Connell, has been nominated thanks to his central roles in drama '71 and Jolie's Unbroken.
Margot Robbie is also up for the award, having wowed audiences in the Wolf of Wall Street (post a stint on Neighbours), as is Shailene Woodley for tearjerker The Fault In Our Stars.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw is the final woman up for the gong, after receiving critical acclaim for her portrayal of Britain's first mixed-race aristocrat in the period drama, Belle. The last hopeful is Miles Teller, who has set the film world alight with his role as a struggling drumming student in Whiplash.
Now in it's 10th year, the EE Rising Star award recognises an actor or actress who has demonstrated exceptional talent and are destined to be bright stars in the future of cinema.
