Watch: Leslie Mann talks motherhood and multi-tasking

Intro Deck:

We sat down with This Is 40 star Leslie Mann to talk motherhood, murder shows and what it was really like taking her family to work…

Hitting cinemas on Valentine's Day, This Is 40 is the sort-of sequel to Judd Apatow's Knocked Up, starring his wife Leslie Mann alongside their real-life daughters, Maude and Iris.

Leslie plays Debbie, while Paul Rudd stars alongside her as husband Pete, as the couple come to terms with hitting their 40s while juggling parenthood, careers and some unfortunate mishaps.

It seems the film was just as fun to shoot as it is to watch, as Leslie revealed: "It was like summer camp spending time with everyone. Not just with my kids and my husband, but all of us have known each other a long time, so it feels like a big family."

Speaking of balancing motherhood, acting and looking good in real-life, Leslie admits it's no mean feat: "If you end up working a lot then you don't have as much time for your kids. So, I don't believe it when people say they're able to have a balance."

Though she reveals that she works hard to make it work for her and her family: "I feel lucky that I'm allowed to do what I've always dreamed of doing work wise and that I have a nice, healthy family. I feel like this is not an easy time but I love what I do, so it makes it more fun."
