The Bad Romance singer is no stranger to drama, and her epic nine-minute new video is undeniably her most flamboyant yet.
Directed by renowned fashion photographer Steven Klein, the video has already been a staggering hit with fans, crashing the site it was launched on within minutes.
'We combined dance, narrative and attributes of surrealism,’ Klein told Rolling Stone magazine.
'The process was to express Lady GaGa's desire to reveal her heart and bear her soul.'
The video features scenes of fetish, with GaGa donning an impressive variety of PVC costumes, as everything from a Nun’s outfit to a gun-armed bra comes under Klein’s lens.
After being named outstanding music artist at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Awards GaGa has called the video 'a celebration of my love and appreciation for the gay community.’
