Jennifer Lawrence in Serena

Jennifer Lawrence has just reminded us all what an amazing actress she really - in case any of us had forgotten about that fact over the last few weeks -  in the latest trailer for her upcoming film, Serena, which, we have to say, looks every inch as epic as the film's leading lady... 

Jen portraits the character on which the film is titled, and appears in the two minute long trailer as the ultimate blonde bombshell, with her hair styled in a cute cropped bob and set in tight, of-the-era waves, cementing her girl-crush status and then some. 

Set in the '30s, when the United States was in the middle of its great Depression, you can also count on the fact that Jennifer's costumes pack major style hits of lace, tweed and silky slip dresses throughout the love story turned action-packed drama. 

Teaming up with Hollywood hunk Bradley Cooper for the third time - apparently Lawrence recommended him for the part following the success of their previous films American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook - we're treated to hoards of chemistry from our favourite on-screen couple, who have since taken over from the likes of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in the iconic-duo stakes. 

Bradley stars as timber merchant George Pemberton who, in the early seconds of the trailer, rides up to Jennifer's character, Serena, on horseback (yes, that man can speak fluent French AND ride a horse), proclaiming: 'I came wanted to say hello. I think we should be married.' 

Excuse us while we pick ourselves up off the floor... 

However, their love turns out to be not all that simple, as the nail-biting trailer eludes. We don't know about you, but we're already gripped to see how things pan out for these two. 

Sadly, we'll have to wait until October 24th for it to hit our cinema screens, so it looks like we'll be playing this clip on loop in the meantime. A small price to pay to get our J-Law fix we reckon.
