In a big departure from her Harry Potter Hermione Granger style, actress Emma Watson looks every inch the modern fashion icon in this new campaign shot from Fair Trade fashion brand People Tree's new collection.

Having collaborated with People Tree for two seasons now, this third range - the spring/summer 2011 collection - was designed in part by Emma herself.
Committed to promoting sustainability in the fashion industry Emma said; “The design process continued with me trying on each and every piece to get the fits just as I wanted them and then I visited Bangladesh to see the clothing actually being made and meet the people making it. It was an incredible and life-changing experience –I really wish everyone had the chance to see the difference Fair Trade makes with their own eyes.”
The new range includes silk gingham checks, florals, polka-dots and wrap-around dresses, along with playsuits, hareems and kimono style shirts.
The collection is set to coincide with Fairtrade Fortnight on 28 February.
And this isn't the end of Emma's green fashion credentials. So impressed by the actress' collection with People Tree, Alberta Ferretti approached her to collaborate on an organic clothing line. Also due out in spring, Emma described the collection as "Very classic; very 60s Jane Birkin".
