Victoria took son Brooklyn to get his left ear pierced
Victoria Beckham shopping in Claire's Accessories? Sounds unlikely. Maybe in her Spice Girls days in the early Noughties we can imagine the former pop star might have popped in for a couple of butterfly clips, but these days Claire's (the store dropped the Accessories a while back) is definitely a far cry from the shops that sit alongside VB's own in west London.
So we were slightly surprised to learn that the fashion designer had reportedly been spotted in the jewellery shop this weekend, at Westfield no less, helping Brooklyn get his ear pierced.
The Beckham family – Brooklyn's dad David and little brother Cruz were also in tow – was ushered into a back room of the shop away from excited shoppers so that Brooklyn could get his left ear pierced in peace. We don't know about you, but when we went to Claire's Accessories to get our ears pierced when we were teenagers, we had to sit in the shop window. It was a right of passage. Lucky for Brooklyn that he was spared that embarrassment.
This might not have been in Hatton Garden, but Victoria and David made sure they didn't scrimp on Brooklyn's first earring. Speaking to The Sun, the shop manager Joe Parker said: 'They picked the most expensive earring - but Victoria told him to go a size down so it wasn't too blingy.'
'Brooklyn was cool but I was so nervous, I was like, 'I can't mess this up',' he said.
Brooklyn, listen to your mum: when it comes to fashion, she knows what she's talking about...
