As she arrived for a second day of auditioning in Boston looking chic in a navy pencil dress, it was reported that Victoria Beckham has landed a £3m contract to become a permanent face on the judging panel of American Idol.
The 35-year-old has proved such a hit, the maker of the show, and her former Spice Girls manager, Simon Fuller, is keen to take her on permanently.
The singer-turned-designer rocked up to the Boston auditions looking sleek and chic in a gorgeous over-the-knee navy dress from the Victoria Beckham Collection, which she teamed with matching heels and a blinging gold watch.
Posh is not the only star to guest-judge on the Idol panel since Paula Abdul’s departure. I Kissed a Girl star Katy Perry and soul singer Mary J Blige have also been lined up to take part.
But Victoria is the only star who has so far been asked to attend two rounds of auditions.
One source told the Daily Mail: ‘Victoria is the clear favourite because of Simon Fuller's influence... She was a revelation at the second audition and is now top of the list to permanently replace Paula.’
