David and Victoria Beckham at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Few couples nail red carpet dressing as well as Victoria Beckham and husband David, but at last night's glam 60th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards, the pair were definitely given a run for their money by a number of other well turned out A-list couples.

Not necessarily known for their love of the theatre, David and Victoria's appearance at the awards, held at the London Palladium, was an unusual one. Perhaps the pair were in need of some light relief after David's car accident the day before (thankfully no-one was hurt), and so joined Burberry CEO christopher Bailey as well as Anna Wintour for the night's event.

Sticking to her signature LBD, Victoria looked stunning in a  wool and silk blend column dress from her own collection, while David looked equally as smart in a dapper navy suit and bow tie. the pair looked closer than ever as they held hands tightly on their way into the ceremony.

But really we couldn't take our eyes off the newly-engaged Sophie Hunter and Benedict Cumberbatch, who are fast proving themselves to be the film and theatre world's most stylish pair. Sophie, wearing another dress by Erdem, was glowing, while Benedict looked dapper in a slim fit black suit and tie.

And then there was Benedict's fellow thesp friend Eddie Redmayne, who looked dashing in a Burberry tux as he cosied up to his new fiancee Hannah Bagshawe, who looked equally as adorable in a demure coat dress.

With Chistopher Bailey hosting the evening, Burberry was abundant on the red carpet, with Sienna Miller, Suki Waterhouse and Naomi Campbell all wearing frocks by the designer.

But really the night belonged to Gillian Anderson, who took home the award for Best Actress for her role in A Streetcar Named Desire and Tom Hiddletsone who won the Best Actor Gong for his part in Coriolanus.
