Tom Ford's super-stylish directorial debut, A Single Man, premiered in London last night and a gaggle of seriously slick London fashion fans turned up to toast Ford, Colin Firth and the cast of what is so far one of our favourite films of 2010.
Attending with his gorgeous Italian wife Livia, Colin Firth took the red carpet in Leicester Square. Firth stars as gay college professor George Falconer who's mourning the death of his long term partner.
Nicholas Hoult, last seen on our TV screens in Skins also has a starring role and has been nominated for a BAFTA Rising Star Award for his performance.
'It was a very interesting character and when you get the chance to work with Colin and Tom you'd be stupid to turn it down because you're scared of playing a character who's potentially gay,' he told PA at the premiere last night.
Also at the premiere were Elizabeth Hurley and Jameela Jamil both of whom braved the chill in teeny dresses. Yasmin Le Bon and Eva Herzigova represented the model contingent while fashion designers Valentino, Stella McCartney and Patrick Cox also joined to check out the work of the fabulous Mr Ford.
Colin Firth has already won five awards for his role in A Single Man and the film in total has had eight wins. We're predicting big things for Ford and Co at the Oscars… Check back this afternoon for all the nominations!
