James Corden and Gwyneth Paltrow

Toddlerography is your new exercise obsession

Toddlerography is the new Carpool Karaoke – we’re calling it, and you are going to love it.

First of all, they’re both hosted by James Corden as part of The Late, Late Show in America. Secondly, there’s music involved, and a lot of it. Finally? It’s hilarious – we defy you not to laugh at Gwyneth Paltrow prancing around after a three-year-old, in leggings, a gym vest plus a handy headband. Chic.

The concept is simple. Take one British TV host, add in a celebrity superstar and dress them both up in lycra workout gear (or athleisure, as they’re calling it these days). Add one grooving toddler, blast some tunes in a dance studio and then copy exactly what the kid choreographer does.

The result? There’s a lot of jumping, running into walls, falling on the floor and some incredibly flexible knee-bends. Not so bad for pro-dancer Jenna Dewan Tatum, worse for James Corden…

Can someone please tell us how to be as energetic as these little ones?! We’re kind of into their outfits, too. Bows, scrunchies and leg warmers are back in fashion, clearly. Did someone say Flashdance?

James has only aired two episodes of our new favourite sketch so far (you can watch all the latest episodes below), but we’re hoping for more. I’m picturing a Channing vs Jenna Lip Sync Battle rematch…

Gwyneth Paltrow
The choreographer with the leopard-print bow is our favourite – who else could make running into a wall so emotive? And this is proof that Gwyneth Paltrow DOES have a sense of humour!

Jenna Dewan Tatum
Credit to James Corden for holding his own against the ‘harshest, toughest group of choreographers in all of Los Angeles’. Jenna mastered that 'turn around in a circle move', too.
