The actress, famous for her quirky style and brave red-carpet choices, is to be the face of the s/s 2010 campaign for Pringle of Scotland’s womenswear and menswear collections, following in the footsteps of Lydia Hearst, Daisy Lowe, and Pixie Geldof.

“We want to show people that Pringle is a Scottish brand, but go a little bit deeper,” says the company’s director of global communications Benoit Duverger. “We believe Tilda is inclusive, as both young and more mature people identify with her acting.”

Shot by photographer Ryan McGinley in the Scottish highlands – where Tilda lives – the images will be shown, together with a video, at London Fashion Week in September, when Pringle returns to the capital to celebrate LFW’s 25th anniversary.
