50% of The Voice's former judges are returning
The Voice will be back in 2017, but don’t tune in to BBC to catch the singing competition. The show is moving to ITV (poor BBC – does this remind anyone of Bake Off?).
After ex-Liberty X singer Kevin Simm won The Voice in 2016 with judge Ricky Wilson, a new cast of judges will be joining The Voice to find the UK’s next hidden superstar, airing sometime in 2017.

The Voice judges (or do they prefer to be called coaches) have been announced for 2016, and there are some familiar faces in the mix. After announcing her first pregnancy, Paloma Faith stated that she would not be re-joining the panel as she’d be, well, quite busy. Boy George announced his departure from the show in July 2016 after just one series, with Ricky Wilson declaring way back in November that this fifth series would be his last.
Will.i.am confirmed that he would be back for his sixth season on the show in July 2016, after threatening to drop out while discussions were taking place for The Voice series six.

After a shocking sacking from The Voice before series five (and an emotional statement released on social media), Sir Tom Jones will be back in his rightful seat for 2017. Of the move to ITV, Tom said ‘I had some great times on the show and I can't wait to again discover and help some brand new talent. And of course be back with my pal Will.i.am.’
In the most interesting announcement so far, The Voice UK just announced Gavin Rossdale as their third male judge. Yes, he’s Gwen Stefani’s ex-husband. Yes, he’s also Daisy Lowe’s dad (who we’re currently glued to on Strictly Come Dancing). But he’s also the hugely successful front-man of rock band, Bush. ‘I'm so thrilled to be joining The Voice UK,’ he said in a statement. ‘I've always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music and I can't wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent.’

Starting her career on American Idol, Jennifer Hudson is coming across the pond to take on The Voice UK, saying ‘I couldn’t be more excited to join the amazing panel of coaches on The Voice UK. The UK has always been so supportive of me since the beginning of my career so I’m really looking forward to sharing my point of view with the contestants.’

The Voice Presenters
Everyone’s favourite Brummie Emma Willis will return to host The Voice UK, without 2015’s co-host Marvin Humes.
When is The Voice on?
The show starts sometime in 2017 on ITV, with the sixth series the first not to be shown on the BBC.
