The REAL Reason Blake Lively's Going Brunette...

Blake Lively is ditching her signature blonde hair for a style that's way darker; but what's the logic behind it? We've learnt it's not just a beauty thing...

Blake Lively may be the hottest pregnant woman to ever walk the face of the earth and as her baby bump has continued to blossom, her style seems be blooming as well. However, we have noticed one change in Blake's pristine appearance and it's to do with her usually very golden locks.

We couldn't help but see that Blake's roots in her glossy blonde mane have started to come through revealing her very dark natural brunette colouring. Ok, so it's nothing to get up in arms about and her babe-status is still has high as its ever been but this beauty faux-pas is very uncharacteristically Blake.

Now, after some digging, we've found out the real reason behind her brown-hued locks. And no, it's NOT because she simply has no time to hit the salon between styling up her next seriously cool maternity look and writing her latest Preserve post...

It has been reported that Blake is so health-conscious when it comes to her pregnancy that she's totally shunned getting her hair dyed due to the chemicals that enter the body when you're topping up that t-section or going all-out on that full head of highlights.

The 27-year-old actress is said to be 'super cautious' about anything that goes into her system until she gives birth to her and hubby Ryan Reynold's first child in the New Year and while there is there isn't substantial evidence that hair dye can affect a pregnancy, it's totally down to the personal feelings of the mother. And we can totally see Blake taking every step to make sure her pregnancy is as smooth as they come. Rightly so.

It's the first time we've ever really seen Blake's natural colour — she's been the perfectly-dyed bombshell since she hit the spotlight back in the '00s — but we reckon her growing roots actually look pretty cool. After all, we've PAID to have our hair dip-dyed and its never even come close to looking this good.

As you were, Blake.
