If any proof was needed that the LBD is fashion’s most enduring item, you only need look to last night’s Pride of Britain Awards for evidence!
The star-studded bash attracted a who’s who of British talent – with half of them wearing the fashion classic.
Cheryl Cole, Kelly Brook, Myleene Klass, Kimberly Walsh, Emma Bunton, Kirsty Gallacher and Katherine Jenkins all donned an LBD, albeit in different styles and textures.
Cheryl looked fantastic in a one-shouldered puff-ball minidress with a see-through boned bodice, while her bandmate Kimberly channelled Carrie Bradshaw in a clingy dress with an oversized shoulder corsage.
Kelly Brook looked absolutely stunning in an embellished peplum shift dress with gladiator heels, and Emma Bunton spiced up a strapless mini with a sequin bolero.
Other guests to attend – who didn’t wear an LBD – included Dannii Minogue, in a leopard-print maxidress, and boyfriend Kris Smith, Strictly’s Tess Daly and hubby Vernon Kay, Mel B, who dazzled in a long-sleeved coral minidress, and Davina McCall, who shimmered in a silver sequin top and jeans.
Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts also eschewed black and wowed in a nude Vivienne Westwood gown.
The stars were out to praise the nation’s unsung heroes for varying acts of courage and bravery - and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
