One of the most glamorous nights in the fashion calendar, the CFDA Awards, last night played host to a who's who of Hollywood royalty, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Sarah Jessica Parker.
With so many fabulous dresses, it's hard to say who was the belle of the ball, but Gwyneth, in her shimmering fluid Michael Kors gown, gave it a really good go!
But SJP also drew admiring glances as she arrived at the Lincoln Centre in New York wearing a striking printed frock from her late friend Alexander McQueen's pre-autumn 2010 collection.
The Sex and the City star paid tribute to McQueen before his final collection was presented in a runway show.
Other stars who were attended the fabulous affair included David Bowie and his stunning wife Iman, who not only picked up the Fashion Icon award from Isabella Rossellini, but also dazzled in a strapless Giambatista Valli gown.
Brit star Rachel Weisz was pretty in a cornflower-blue Jason Wu shift; Jessica Biel stood out in printed Diane Von Furstenberg; The City star Whitney Port glimmered in silver David Meister; Twilight actress Dakota Fanning was cute in a Marchesa mini; and Alexa Chung was unique in bow-embellished nude Marc Jacobs frock.
Along with Iman, the evening saw a number of winners, including Marc Jacobs picking up Womenswear Designer of the Year, and Christopher Bailey receiving the International Award.
Neutral colours, nudes and whites, were a strong trend, and, all in all, it was veritable feast of delectable fashion!
