BAFTA may be a quintessentially British institute for talent, but last night it was the turn of its LA counterpart to crown the best in film and television at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.
It wasn't without some of our favourite Brits there to lead the festivities though, as Carey Mulligan presented along with the likes of Dakota Fanning, Marion Cotillard and Jane Lynch, while Stephen Fry was master of ceremonies for the second year running.
Getting our vote for best dressed was An Education's Ms Mulligan, who showed off a slick new 'do with a perfectly proportioned Preen navy and ivory dress, and finished her look with a pop of colour from some cobalt blue courts.
Also hitting all the right fashion notes was Marion Cotillard in a metallic asymmetric Elie Saab mini, complimented with a slick quiff, while Dakota Fanning looked utterly angelic in Valentino.
Among those taking home gongs from the night were Michael Sheen, who won the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year and Jeff Bridges who receieved the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film. Bravo!
