With the 2011 Brit Awards just a month away, the nominees were announced last night with a buzzing ceremony at the O2 Arena in London.
Host Fearne Cotton was joined by a bevy of rising talent, including new R&B sensation Jessie J, while hotly-tipped nominees - and rivals for the Best Breakthrough Act prize - Ellie Goulding and Tinie Tempah put in a joint performance to close the show.
Mark Ronson, Plan B and Tinie Tempah are among the Best British Male Artist nominees, while Cheryl Cole, Ellie Goulding and Paloma Faith head up the female category.
Best Album is hotly-contested with Mumford & Sons, Take That and Tinie Tempah all in the running.
In terms of international nominations, Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue and Rihanna are among those competing for Best Female Solo Artist, while the Breakthrough Act category is an eclectic mix, with the Glee cast, Justin Beiber and Temper Trap all receiving a nod.
It's sure to be a close call, and with performances from Rihanna and Take That confirmed it's sure to be one of the biggest nights in the music calendar.
