Stephen Gately's inconsolable Boyzone bandmates sobbed as they said goodbye to the star they called their brother.
Boyzone's Ronan Keating broke down during the service as he told Stephen Gately's funeral mass the world had lost one of its great stars.
All of the three thousand-strong crowd, who gathered to pay their last respects to Stephen Gately, had tears in their eyes as Keating delivered an emotional eulogy saying the pop star has found perfect peace.
Ronan said: ‘We have lost our brother and I've lost my wing man. He will live on in our songs and whenever us four are together his spirit is alive.
‘Forever young and never forgotten. A man, a friend, a brother, a son, a husband and a hero'.
Ronan joined the remaining Boyzone bandmates Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy joined Stephen's family, neighbours and celebrity friends for the moving farewell in St Laurence O'Toole Church in Dublin,
X Factor judge Louis Walsh attended the service as well as Westlife, Brian McFadden, Shayne Ward, Vanessa Feltz and Gillian McKeith.
