Tom Cruise, supported by his wife Katie Holmes, was presented with the Humanitarian Award by The Simon Wiesenthal Center, which educates people about the Holocaust and runs the Museums of Tolerance in LA, New York and Jerusalem. Tom was given the award at the centre's annual National Tribute Dinner.
Tom and Katie were accompanied by Tom’s 16-year-old son with Nicole Kidman, Connor Cruise.
We love Tom's slightly longer hairstyle – is this for his role as an 80s rock star in upcoming musical Rock of Ages? – while Katie wowed in a low-cut black chiffon dress with bright green sash.
Katie accessorised with black peep-toe sandals and green-and-gold earrings (and is that an edgy shot of black nail varnish we spy on her pedi?), Tom sported a classic black suit, while Jeremy Renner – who co-stars with Tom in the new Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol film (out this December), wore grey.
The event was presented by Star Trek and Lost scribe JJ Abrams – who co-wrote Mi: Ghost Protocol. Hollywood power producer Jerry Bruckheimer (he produced several of Tom's biggest movie hits, including Top Gun!) was also at the dinner, as was actress Malin Ackerman, who’s set to star as Tom’s love interest in Rock of Ages, and Tom's Jerry Maguire co-star Cuba Gooding Jr.
