Sarah Jessica Parker, Kelly Osbourne and Hugh Jackman, were just some of the stars of stage and screen to attend the late Joan Rivers' funeral yesterday.
The trailblazing comedienne, best known for her acerbic wit and onle liners as well as her takedown of celebrities' fashion sense, died last Thursday 4th September 2014 aged 81.
Despite the star's love of bringing the famous down a notch or two, Rivers would have no doubt been pleased with the celeb turnout at her funeral, having previously stated in her 2012 book I Hate Everyone… Starting With Me that she wanted 'a huge showbiz affair with lights, cameras, action' and 'Hollywood all the way.'
Rivers also wished for “Meryl Streep crying, in five different accents' and 'a wind machine so that even in the casket my hair is blowing just like Beyonce’s.'
While she may not have got Meryl Streep or Bey's hair, Joan Rivers did get Hugh Jackman singing Quiet Please, There’s a Lady On Stage at the end of the service, and the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus performing Hey Big Spender, which sounds like the best send off to us...
