Taylor Swift struts through New York

Taylor Swift and her posse of pals have been a talking point for quite some time now.

Over the past few months, the chart-topping singer has been snapped with other supremely successful young stars including Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne and Joan Smalls on a number of occasions.

Remember when Taylor - who's also close to Victoria's Secret stunner Lily Aldridge - pulled them all out on stage during her BST gig in Hyde Park last month?

Of course you do, it was epic.

But there are now two rather unlikely celebrities vying for a spot in Taylor's coveted girl gang.

Sir Ian McKellen, 76, and his good friend Sir Patrick Stewart.

Sir Ian was asked to read out the lyrics to Taylor's tune Bad Blood during an recent interview with Yahoo!

The video is everything you might imagine it to be with the actor saying, ''Cause, baby, now we got bad blood. You know it used to be mad love' in his wonderfully British accent.

Having seen the impressive footage of the Lord Of The Rings, Sir Patrick, 75, took it upon himself to send a message to Taylor alongside a link to a clip of himself reciting Blank Space.

'So @IanMcKellen recited Bad Blood and I did Blank Space on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?' the Star Trek icon asked the 25-year-old blonde on Twitter.

Naturally, Taylor couldn't resist replying.

'Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You've made my day,' she told the screen icons.

'You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals.

We've got a feeling this might just be the start of a beautiful new friendship.
