He may no longer be a part of The X Factor UK TV process, but Simon Cowell has revealed he's not adverse to the idea of being involved with a theatre production of the show.
Production on the show is well underway, with a script from comedian Harry Hill, but would need the go-ahead from Simon.
Speaking at the Britain's Got Talent auditions he revealed it won't be long before he makes his decision: "First of all we just want to find out if it will work or not. We’re going to see a workshop on it in a couple of weeks’ time."
"What I’m hearing from a couple of people who have seen it is it’s very funny and very good. This will be the moment we decide whether we’ll be in or out."
Though Simon's biggest concern was of who would take the lead role: "Who would play me? We may have to do an audition show. That would be a good idea."
Looks like we could be seeing the programme's famous sob stories, strops and singing get the on-stage treatment in no time. What with this and Spice Girl musical, Viva Forever, we'll be spoilt for choice!
