Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell is widely seen as the most powerful man in the entertainment industry so it's fitting that his milestone 50th birthday party will undoubtedly be the most extravagant bash of the year (if not the decade).

The whole event is being organised by the wife of Simon's good friend Sir Philip Green.

Lady Green has overseen all of the details of this lavish party from the catering (London company Banana Split), flower arrangements (white roses and hydrangeas) to the entertainment (raunchy show girls and a host of Cowell's protégés) to make this a truly remarkable evening.

According to the Daily Mail over 400 guests are said to have been invited to the event on Saturday night, held at Wrotham Park in London (where Cheryl and Ashley Cole got married).

A host of A-listers including Kate Moss, Elton John, Kevin Spacey and Donald Trump, received specially designed invites on etched mirrored-glass in an art-deco style (no paper invites for Simon's guests).

Westlife, Leona Lewis, Il Divo and X Factor winner Alexandra Burke are also rumoured to be performing on the night as well as Kate Moss who apparently wants to sing Lily Allen's It's Not Fair.

This is going to be one hell of a party - our invite's probably stuck in the post.
