Sienna Miller has landed the lead role in a new film adaptation of Jane Austen's Lady Susan.
One of the author's lesser known works, the film follows the widow Lady Susan – who will be played by Miller – as she tries to find a new husband for herself, and one for her daughter.
The comedy film will be called Jane Austen's Love & Friendship, and production is expected to commence in the Irish countryside in the summer.
Chloe Sevigny has also been cast in the movie, as one of Sienna Miller's characters friends. We can't wait to see these two in screen together.
The film's director, Whit Stillman told Screen Daily: 'The other two early novels Jane Austen wrote became Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. The story of the brilliant Lady Susan Vernon's struggles with the wealthy, smug De Courcy clan is perhaps her most sparkling comedy. In our search for the right Susan, Sienna Miller showed how the role might be infused with freshness and verve. She is a wonderful talent who will lead a brilliant ensemble cast.'
It sounds like a winner to us...
