Victoria Beckham has revealed that she is 'beyond excited' about appearing as a one-off judge in the ninth series of American Idol. Posh, who has taken the US by storm alongside hubby David Beckham, arrived for a round of auditions at a hotel in Denver looking ultra-sophisticated in a purple strapless frock and sporting her hair slicked back off her face.
The ex-Spice Girl told American Idol host Ryan Seacrest on his radio show: "When I got the phone call, I just couldn't believe it. I feel like I got the best job that there is. I'm still grinning from ear to ear. I'm going to try hard to pout and not shatter the illusion that I'm a moody cow, but I don't know if I can - I'm just so happy."
Victoria was greeted by hundreds of guests outside the hotel on Friday and graciously took the time to say hello to a few of them personally before heading inside to join fellow panel critics Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson.
The mum-of-three stepped in to judge the show after the shock departure of Paula Abdul. But there's no telling what kind of judge Victoria will be. She revealed: "I want to be nice to people. I know how it feels to be stood there and be judged and how it can feel when nerves get the better of you. I don't want to shatter anybody's dream. But at the same time, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of constructive criticism."
One thing's for sure, we CANNOT WAIT to see the episode!
