Heidi Klum, Jennifer Hudson, Olivia Palermo and James Franco support The Foundation for Aids Research in New York
A host of celebrities descended on Amfar’s Inspiration Gala Celebrating Men’s Style last night to benefit the foundation’s innovative Aids research.
The theme for the evening was Black Tie, Hot Metal and guests were encouraged to dress to the theme.
The event was super-chic and stylish, with supermodels Heidi Klum and Chanel Iman high on the best-dressed list in floor-sweeping frocks. Heidi’s stunning turquoise backless gown featured a thigh-high split, which showed off her amazing pins. Chanel’s slinky bright red Michael Kors number was also split to the waist and she accessorised with a gold clutch and gold strappy sandals for a chic summer look.
Scissor Sisters singer Ana Matronic embraced summer’s brights in an equally vibrant orange number, while Courtney Love opted for a white, lace-tiered gown. Jennifer Hudson also went for white and looked great in a bang-on-trend figure-hugging LWD. Accessorising with sparkling jewels and popping red nails, Jen’s giving us some serious style envy.
Also in attendance was our favourite It-girl Olivia Palermo, who continued to show her fashion prowess in a one-shouldered polka-dot dress that was gathered at the front. The spot trend is set to be hot next season, so make like Olivia and get ahead of the game.
Our latest crush James Franco was awarded the Piaget Award of Inspiration at the Gala and looked suitably dapper in smart tailoring – swoon! – while designer Michael Kors was the recipient of the Amfar Award of Courage.
