It was only last month we saw Eva Mendes gracing the cover of W magazine baring tanned skin in a Miu Miu bikini, and now we have her on the front cover of Allure showing us a heavy dosage of D&G leopard print.
Photographed by Michael Thompson in his New York City studio, the actress posed to the sounds of Dean Martin, Maria Callas arias, and Ella Fitzgerald. We love everything about the shoot; the clothes, the poses, but most of all, we love the beauty.
Hairstylist Sebastian Richard gave the actress a ‘sexy, touchable and textured look,’ whilst Makky the make-up artist applied feline flicks to the eyes and a slick of nude lipstick.
In the magazine she candidly discusses taking her clothes off, talking herself into feeling sexy and how it takes bravery to do full-frontal nudity.
'If a negative thought pops into my head, I talk to the voice within me and say, “I know you want to tell me that I'm less than desirable, but not now. You can come back in a couple days and cut me down when I'm done with this shoot. I promise to let you in then,”’ she says.
We’ll be trying that trick from now on!
