SJP said she couldn't 'fix an organism that was ailing' about her time at Halston Heritage
Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed why her partnership with Halston Heritage came to an end after just a year of working together.
In an interview in the May issue of InSyle, the actress – who acted as president and chief creative officer of the revived fashion label between 2010 and 2011 – admitted that she was naive taking on the role, but also revealed that she couldn't 'fix something that was ailing'.
'I think the lesson there is was that you and your partner need to want the same thing,' SJP told us.
'There was a naivety on my part, and who could say no to running Halston Heritage? But I couldn't fix an organism that was ailing. It was tough because you feel defeated.'
Although her time at Halston Heritage didn't work out necessarily as planned, that hasn't stopped Sarah Jessica Parker from pursuing other fashion avenues. With the launch of her debut shoe collection, and our continued fascination with her personal style, SJP's most definitely still making her mark on the fashion industry.
