Ryan Reynolds obviously loves being a dad.
The actor’s daughter James might only have been on the planet for around six months, but Ryan’s already pondering what her first word might be.
Unfortunately, he’s a little concerned that it might be a something naughty.
Why? The tiny tot spent lots of time on the set of Ryan’s new film, Deadpool, which features a lot of colourful language in its script.
‘She's going to learn those words eventually anyway,’ E! reports Ryan as having said.
‘If her first word is f**k, then I've done something wrong, but otherwise I think we're fine. I think we're okay.’
Like most new parents, the handsome 38-year-old would prefer his baby to come out with something far more conventional.
Ryan continued: ‘The second or third [word], that's fine. But the first? No. It's going to have to be mom or dad. I'm rooting for mom.’
We're hoping the A-list duo keep us posted on what James does say when she's eventually ready to speak.
Ryan has a rather refreshing approach to being a father.
He's more than happy to admit his flaws, proving that parenting really is a learning experience based on trial and error.
Remember *that* picture Blake Lively, 27 - who gave birth to James in December last year - shared of her man and newborn to commemorate Father’s Day on 23 June?
In case you missed it, countless fans were quick to point out that James wasn’t safely strapped in as Ryan posed with her in a carrier.
‘The baby's not properly secured in the vessel that I'm wearing there,’ Ryan confessed while appearing on a talk show.
'I'm a first-time dad, and that is not the first mistake I've made. I can guarantee you it won't be last. I'd never used that particular carrier before. Every other time has been perfect.'
