Ryan Gosling Made This Couple's Proposal 100% Better Just By Being There

Intro Deck:

When Ryan Gosling's not making movies, breaking up fights or playing the doting Dad, he's spending his time making proposals between his fans even more memorable...

Ryan Gosling is a marvel, isn't he? Not only is he one of the biggest heartthrobs in the biz but he's also recently become one of the hottest dad's ever after his GF Eva Mendes gave birth to their daughter Esme last year.

Of course, he's a pretty stellar actor and director too having earned critical acclaim in both aspects of the movie industry. So, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the 34-year-old star has hardly any time to do anything else. Well, that's simply not the case...

Proving that he really is a man of the people, Ryan has in the past intervened in street fights, saved a women from being run over by a car and makes time to indulge in a bit of light-hearted argy-bargy with the paps. However, his latest role with the everyday public has to be one of his stand-out moments yet.

Rex Features

At the SXSW premiere of his new film Lost River last night — at which he was joined by his other half and star of the flick, Eva — the principle cast took to the stage post-screening to take a quick Q&A from the audience. Standard procedure, really.

However, one of the questions — the last in fact — wound up turning into a marriage proposal! Sadly, it wasn't between Ryan and Eva but two of the audience members; one of whom got down on her knee and asked her girlfriend of 11 years to marry her...

Ryan, clearly delighted with the shock proposal, even went to the crowd and offered the woman his microphone so she could declare her love loud and clear. Then, after the deed was done, Ryan went on to the the first to congratulate the happy couple.

Yep, we know what you're thinking... Best. Proposal. EVER.

Check out the video above for the full Q&A with the cast but, if the proposal is what you're really interested in, you may want to skip 11.30 on the clock.

And just when we thought we couldn't love Ryan Gosling any more than we already do...
