Newlyweds Prince William and Princess Catherine postpone their honeymoon abroad for a private weekend break in Britain
Awaking a princess, Kate Middleton and Prince William were transported from Buckingham Palace to a secret British location by helicopter on Saturday morning to enjoy a weekend away a deux.
Princess Catherine swapped her Alexander McQueen gowns for a cornflower blue pleated Zara mini dress and LK Bennett wedges, and along with Prince William was waved off from the Buckingham Palace grounds to travel to a mystery location by helicopter.
Far from the Middle-Eastern climbs we were expecting, the couple are said to have stayed in Britain having decided to postpone their official honeymoon. And with William expected back at work on Anglesey today, they can’t have gone far.
The Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk or the Balmoral estate in Scotland were considered the most likely locations, although rumours suggest that the couple may have spent the weekend on the Isles of Scilly, where William holidayed as a child.
Either way, the happy couple certainly deserved a private weekend together and it would seem they will be going back to some sort of normality staying put at their rented cottage on Anglesey. It’s back to work as usual for us all!
