Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Rosie is heading back to the silver screen

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley joins Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron in an explosive new trailer for the hotly anticipated Max Max reboot. Despite the dusty, desertous apocalyptic landscape in which the film is set, Rosie somehow still manages to look like a total knock-out (albeit in a dishevelled end-of-the-world kind of way).

The film is a sequel to the original Mad Max films which last hit cinemas 30 years ago. Tom Hardy replaces Mel Gibson as lead character Max, while a shaven-headed Charlize Theron co-stars as Imperator Furiosa.

The film is set in the near-future when the population has descended into chaos scrapping over the few remaining resources. Max – an australian policeman seeking to  avenge the death of his wife and child - and Imperator Furiosa team up in an attempt to restore order.

Masterminded by Happy Feet director Ben Miller, the film was unconventionally shot using just storyboards and very little dialogue, so expect less chat and lots of terrifying car chases (in what looks like the most stressful motorway journey ever) with some pretty spectacular special effects. The film is set to air in 2015 but the initial trailer is already creating quite a buzz after being released at San Diego festival Comic-Con. Watch this space.
