Robert Pattinson And FKA Twigs Make A Swoon-Worthy Red Carpet Debut

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs chose the Met Gala 2015 for their first ever red carpet appearance as an item but they had serious competition in the cute couple stakes...

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are fast becoming one of our fav celeb couples, what with their reported engagement and all, but the one thing we were missing from the duo was a red carpet appearance with plenty of photo ops.

Sure, they hooked up backstage after the 27-year-old songstress walked the carpet solo at the Brit Awards either this year but we still found ourselves pining the day that we'd see them walk hand-in-hand into an awards ceremony or party. Now that day has finally come.

Choosing last night's Met Gala for their first red carpet appearance as an item, the young couple had the look of love on their faces as the posed for pictures alongside the other A-list guests. Swoon.

Rocking an edgy Christopher Kane dress made up of motifs of the naked form, FKA Twigs looked as cool as you'd expect while her fiancé 28-year-old Rob played the dapper part in a classic black tux.

Clearly besotted with his bride-to-be, Robert politely took a step back from FKA on many occasions so that the waiting paps could get a better shot of her statement dress. What a gent, huh? Unable to take his eyes off of her for the entire walk, this snap makes us melt every time we look at it.

However, they weren't the only couple who could barely keep their hands off of one another. George Clooney and his human rights lawyer wife Amal Clooney took to the event arm in arm at the dinner, where the 37-year-old beauty looked stunning in a red Maison Martin Margiela by John Galliano bandeau, ruffle-tier gown. A dress choice which George definitely approved of...

In a display that warranted 'get a room' heckles from the crowd, George and Amal couldn't stop themselves from getting a bit handsy. That's newlyweds for you...

Keeping things a tad more restrained and PG was long-time couple Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson who looked typically stylish in their best get-ups. While Diane has long stood as a major source of style inspo, her latest string of looks have been pretty but admittedly have left us wanting more from the usually sartorially savvy actress. However, she made up for it in a big way at the Met Ball 2015 thanks to her longline top and sheer trouser combo which came courtesy of Chanel. What a BABE.

Keeping up Rob and FKA's Brit couple example were Eddie Redmayne and his new wife Hannah Bagshaw, who's clearly got this red carpet thing down now that she's accompanied her actor beau to the Oscars where he received his Best Actor gong for his role in The Theory of Everything. Sporting a chic Valentino monochrome dress with a minimal floral motif and cut-outs to the side, Hannah's gorgeous look helped secure their place on our cutest couples roster.

Last up were Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter who with their coordinating glowing tans and wavy golden locks prove that couples who bronze and highlight together, stay together. Working a flapper-style Marchesa dress with smouldering eye makeup while Dougie flashed his sculpted chest in an unbuttoned shirt, they just may be the hottest couple of the night.

Oh to be young, in love and gorgeous, eh guys?
