Rita Ora Lands A Shock New Fifty Shades Of Grey Film Role

We didn't think we could be surprised by the ups and downs of Fifty Shades anymore, but then this happened...

Rita Ora's fame is set to reach dizzying new heights, as she announced yesterday that she is to join the cast of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. No, we didn't see this one coming either.

Taking to Twitter to reveal her big news, Rita said: 'It's official! I've been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian's sister Mia.'

The 23-year old will play Mia: the sister to Jamie Dornan's character, Christian Grey. In E.L. James's novel, Mia Grey is the daughter of Carrick Grey and Dr Grace Trevelyan Grey. Among her character's traits, Mia is a keen paino player: perhaps Rita will be bringing her musical talents to the film, too.

This won't be Rita's first time in front of the camera. The singer has already had several acting roles, including a part in Fast and Furious 6.

After a series of setbacks, the Fifty Shades cast started filming in Vancouver this week, as pictures emerged of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson filming a scene in a cafe. So, nothing steamy yet.

Although the film's release has been delayed until February 2015, with the new addition of Rita, we reckon it's going to be well worth the wait.
