Rio de Janeiro was the new Hollywood this weekend as some of the biggest-selling artists pulled out all the stops at the legendary Rock in Rio music festival.
Opening the music festival were super-stars (and BFFs) Rihanna and Katy Perry, who worked the excited crowd with incredible performances. After a firework display and smaller local acts, Katy Perry made her entrance on the stage for her headlining set, launching into her first track, "Teenage Dream", in a tight diamante bodysuit and giant feathers.
Next up Rihanna followed, singing on stage in a sexy red and white striped top and shorts combo.
Elton John also performed on the opening night, with Lenny Kravitz, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stevie Wonder and Metallica set to perform later in the week.
