It's the moment we've all been waiting for: the official photos from Princess Charlotte's christening have finally been released by Kensington Palace and, awww, were they worth the wait!
The stunning photographs were taken last Sunday by legendary fashion photographer, Mario Testino - incidentally, also a favourite of Diana's.
The intimate family shots were taken at Sandringham House, the Queen's private residence, and show both sides of William and Kate's family in a happy and relaxed pose together. Prince George looks adorable as ever snuggled next to dad, Prince William, as Duchess Kate smiles holding Princess Charlotte, next to the Queen. Standing proudly behind them: Michael Middleton, Pippa Middleton, James Middleton, Carole Middleton, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke of Edinburgh
In a further two photographs, both Kate and William pose effortlessly with both siblings, George and Charlotte. It's yet another intimate snapshot that gives us a glimpse into the lives of two very modern parents...one of whom just happens to be second in line to the throne.
Mario Testino clearly couldn't contain his excitement any longer, taking to Instagram to exclaim his delight. Posting one of his photos he commented:
'I AM OVERWHELMED AND HONOURED TO BE CHOSEN TO TAKE THESE PORTRAITS ON THE OCCASION OF PRINCESS CHARLOTTE'S CHRISTENING, TO CARRY ON THE DOCUMENTATION OF THE FAMILY THAT IS THE SOUL OF THIS COUNTRY, A COUNTRY THAT HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH.'
Stop it, Mario. You'll get us blubbing again!
