Prince William leaves the RAF

Prince William has left the RAF to focus on his royal duties and other projects

Kensington Palace today announced that Prince William has left the military in order to spend more time on his conservational projects and Royal duties, although he is still considering “a number of options” for public service.

10 September 2013 marked the Prince’s last day as a search and rescue helicopter pilot with the RAF, and he now embarks on a “transitional year” in which he will focus on new projects and, no doubt, his commitments as a father to baby George and to wife Kate.

The young family are to move from their home in Anglesey in Wales where William worked with the RAF, into their official residence at Kensington Palace in the next few weeks.
