Kate Middleton, Prince William and baby Prince George mark the anniversary of Princess Diana's death with a visit to her sister

Prince William and Kate Middleton took baby Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge to visit Princess Diana's family at the weekend, to honour the anniversary of her death, reports suggest.

KATE MIDDLETON'S ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

Saturday 31 August marked 16 years since the death of Diana, and in those years William has remained close to the Spencer family, in particular Diana's older sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with baby George, were spotted boarding a helicopter several miles from the home of Lady Sarah and her husband Neil, suggesting they had spent the day with William's late mother's family.

KATE MIDDLETON'S FIRST PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT SINCE THE BIRTH OF PRINCE GEORGE

William and Kate are still living in Anglesey with baby George, but will soon leave behind the Welsh island they have called home for two years to take up residency in Kensington Palace. OM
