Ever wondered what Prince George will look like as an adult? No, of course you haven’t, but these scientists have – and they’ve made a picture


Get this - a ‘computer based platform for prediction of human facial ageing’ has been invented. Yep, Benjamin Button moment – this means we can find out what anyone will look like when they’re older. (Except Brad Pitt, we already know what he looks like.)

The programme, which was created by a research group at the University Of Bradford, led by Hussan Ugail, Professor of Visual Computing, creates an image of the person at a chosen age, predicts the facial changes that will occur as the person ages.

According to the university website, the difference between this research and, say, AgeingBooth, is: ‘It's not just the passage of time that can be simulated: health care professionals can also use our platform to demonstrate how the changes are expected to differ with a variety of lifestyle factors.’

So, they did the maths… Prince William + Kate Middleton = Prince George at 60 years old.

No, it’s not the lovechild of Bradley Cooper and Matt Damon, that’s our third in line to the throne at 40.

Though Professor Ugail's software doesn't factor environmental factors like smoking or drugs into the ageing programme, it's about 80% accurate.

The bad news is we'll have to wait 58 years to see if it's right, the GOOD news is Professor Ugail has been approached to turn his software into an app.

Yes, we're foreseeing hours of time spent creating our own faces at milestones in our lives but it's actually useful, too - for tracing missing people.

Professor Ugail says: 'We can actually look at a child's pictures, we can incorporate all the pictures available, we can also add information from parents, parental facial features, grandparental facial features if available and also other relatives in the family. So we can take all that information so the accuracy that we can predict would be much, much better compared to the current existing technology.'
