So What's The Party?
Socialite, model and darling of the fashion world Poppy Delevingne's celebration of her latest collab with designer Osman in the aptly named Rumpus Room at hot new hotel, the Mondrian London. Launching the 4th edition of The Collective, an artistic journal created by designer Osman Yousefzada featuring Poppy herself as a special guest collaborator and conveniently stunning model.
Who Was There?
The crowd was Storm models meets MIC. Sky scraping model Jade Parfitt rubbed shoulders with Made In Chelsea's finest Jamie Laing and Andy Jordan whilst runway regular Arizona Muse chilled with Poppy and her husband at the bar. And of course there were selfies galore. Well this is a Delevingne party. Poppy couldn't stop snapping pics of her pal George Lamb and her sister Chloe.
It girls Bip Ling and Zara Martin took to the decks as official DJs. Spinning out a mix of Sean Paul, this was fashion gangsta at its best. Moody soulstress Laura Hayden ended the evening with her folk vocals. Our highlight? Her smooth sultry cover of Outkast's 'Roses'. And her embellished-beyond-belief dress of course.
What Did We Drink?
Well, surprisingly not champagne, gasp! Cocktails were the order of the night with bespoke Beluga cocktails created to match the light and dark theme of the party (and the journal). Our fav? The Light Of Day cocktail made with Beluga vodka, burnt grapefruit, cointreau and yes, absinthe. Old school.
We'd Need Something To Soak That Up, What's On Offer?
Tiny smoked salmon roulades with caviar and spicy crab cakes with tomato and coriander salsa kept the canapes classy.
What Was Everyone Wearing?
Osman, obvs. A lucky few were dressed to kill in the designer's amazing embellished pieces. Our fav? Poppy's floor length beaded boho number. Elsewhere, Bip Ling was rocking gold beads on top with a magenta mini on bottom whilst Jade Parfitt went for high impact in a white fur box top with pointed shoulders. Just in case she wasn't tall enough.
So What Did Poppy Have To Say?
"Osman is a mad creative, he’s an absolute genius. I loved his last collective so we met up and I said I really wanted to work with him and we had a terrific time doing it. His clothes are so ethereal, whimsical, imaginative and very special. Everything he creates is a masterpiece so it’s wonderful to get to do this with him."
