It's only days away until the release of the highly anticipated One Day and we were lucky enough to join Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess to talk on-screen chemistry, Edinburgh and Emmerdale...
WATCH THE TRAILER
Looking gorgeous and graceful in chic black cropped trews and a silky black shirt, Anne Hathaway stole the show at the One Day press conference.
She described her apprehension on taking on the role of Emma Morley as: "A weight of expectation," adding: "You can never please everybody, I soon realised that there are people that know every line of this book so it was inevitable that I would disappoint some."
SEE ANNE ON SET
Anne explained she: "Read the book with great detail," and "Watched a lot of Emmerdale," to master Emma's Yorkshire accent.
Discussing the on-screen chemistry between Emma and Dex (Jim Sturgess) Anne told us: "We played a lot of cards and listened to music together over some Scotch Whisky". The pair bonded over some: "Wild nights in Edinburgh, but the chemistry was already there, it was effortless."
SEE ONE DAY SPECIAL
Anne said one of the best things about Edinburgh were the: "Amazing vintage shops."
For Jim, who plays Dexter, he was: "Just excited to be in a film people wanted to see" and One Day appealed to him because "It's not your generic romantic film."
The actor revealed that before turning to acting, one of his first jobs was as a "Pot washer boy in a restaurant," before being "promoted to salad boy." The star said that "I realised if I was getting excited at that it meant I needed to do something with my life so I moved to Manchester to enroll in an acting course which changed my life."
One Day is out now in cinemas nationwide and it's a must-see!
