It seems like a lifetime ago that Nicole Richie's brattish exploits with heiress Paris Hilton were entertaining us on MTV's The Simple Life. These days, she's a married lady and mother of one to baby Harlow, with another little one on the way. Following on from the success of her jewellery line, House of Harlow 1960, Nicole has turned her design talent to creating a line of maternity wear for US brand, A Pea in the Pod.
In an interview with People magazine, the star said, "I really tried to make this line to get women excited about wearing clothes." There's more than a dash of Nicole's signature hippy luxe fashion flair, with floor-skimming maxidresses, loose-fitting peasant tops and ethnic prints and plenty of stretch jersey.
"I think the pregnant body is beautiful, and I think you should show it off," she said, and this collection aims to do just that. The line launches this Friday on apeainthepod.com and although the website is US based, they do ship to the UK.
